My name is Catherine Schofield. My husband and I are proud parents of two very active and sweet boys. As a family we love walking the trails of Maine, traveling and exploring new places.
I took up running a few years ago as a way to get in shape and it quickly became my favorite activity and passion. Running is something that energizes me and helps me improve all aspects of my life. In three years I’ve took my 5k time from 28:11 to 21:39; my 10k time from 59:53 to 47:30. After running my first marathon in May 2016, I’ve been working hard towards running a Boston Marathon qualifying time. My favorite distances to race are the 5k and the marathon. I’m both an RRCA and USATF Level 1 running coach and I coach youth cross country and track in addition to Anchored by Running. I hope to use my love of running and being active to help other people achieve their running and healthy lifestyle goals.
Being near the ocean is so important to me- it’s truly my “happy place”. The beaches of Maine, especially Small Point, hold many of my most treasured memories. And it’s no secret I love nautical clothes, jewelry and decor- especially anchors! Running by the water combines my favorite things. I’m always looking for new running routes with an ocean view and I pick as many coastal races as I can. I love using running to explore areas we are traveling and I’m always looking for new running routes as motivation. Maine’s beautiful coast provides plenty of inspiration!
I’m excited to share my love of running and help you reach your goals!
